Jules Khatchadorian is Rafe Khatchadorian's mother. She is kind and helpful, and she paints from time to time. She works at Swifty's Diner and her paintings are sold there.
Biography[]
Jules is the daughter of Dotty and an unnamed deceased father. She grew up in an unnamed city, which she disliked. At some point, Jules began dating Luca Khatchadorian, and they married, moving to Hills Village in the process.
Sometime afterwards, Jules gave birth to twin sons, Rafe and Leo. As an artist, Jules named them after famous artists Raffaello Sanzio da Urbino and Leonardo da Vinci. However, when the twins were very young, Jules' relationship with Luca deteriorated and they divorced as Luca enlisted in the U.S. Army. By the time Rafe was seven years old, Luca died overseas.
When Rafe and Leo were three years old, Leo contracted meningitis and died of the illness. Out of grief, Jules became non compos mentis, becoming extremely overprotective of Rafe and refusing to leave the house. Realizing she needed another child to compensate for Leo's death, Jules adopted a daughter, Georgia, named for Georgia O'Keeffe. As time passed, Rafe began to interact with Leo as an imaginary friend, which Jules initially disapproved of to but ultimately came to accept.
By the time Rafe was finishing elementary school, Jules began working at Swifty's Diner, and starting dating another man, Carl. The summer before Rafe began middle school, the two became engaged, and Carl moved in with the family. Jules was initially unaware of Carl's abusive nature and hostility towards her children.
In middle school, Rafe, overwhelmed by the strict culture of his school, initiated a game with Leo's help, Operation R.A.F.E., where Rafe would attempt to break every rule in the school's code of conduct. Jules was unaware of the game until the school's vice principal, Ida Stricker, began contacting her to report on Rafe's misbehavior. On Jules' birthday, she took Rafe and Georgia to Swifty's Diner, where Georgia informed her of Rafe's running through school in his underwear. Devastated, Jules had to excuse herself to cry, goading Rafe into putting the game on hold.

Jules has blonde hair usually down, unlike her daughter Georgia. She has light skin, and is seen wearing a Swifty's Diner apron, due to drawings in Rafe's book that have her wearing hardly anything else.
